Glacier Lagoon is a stunning force of nature which is fed from the largest glacier in Iceland, Vatnajökull
The Glacier lagoon is one of the longer day tours in the BusTravel Iceland catalogue but it is most certainly worth the drive. Located on the south east part of the island the Glacier Lagoon is a stunning force of nature which is fed from the largest glacier in Iceland, Vatnajökull.
As the ice breaks away from the melting glacier it drifts through the lagoon and towards the ocean which creates a very unique landscape that is constantly moving and shifting. We will also have some time during the drive to visit additional famous stops on the south coast including the mysterious Seljalandsfoss waterfall that you can walk behind.
A small breakfast stop is made at a gas station in Hvolsvöllur.
This stop is aimed to get a small breakfast if needed and to use the bathroom before heading to the first attraction of the tour.
Gaze the Skaftafell surroundings and get lunch if you're hungry!
Freysnes is surrounded by mountains, glaciers and rests of glacier bursts. On this stop you can either enjoy the fantastic views or get some food in the restaurant.

Welcome to the lovely village of Vík!
With only just about 320 inhabitants does Vík have a lot to offer. You can either have some dinner in one of the restaurants or in summer when it's still bright at this time of day, take a short walk to the beach to have a look at the famous Reynisdrangar.
